DecaWave ScenSor family of parts for the first time gives developers the ability, to locate indoor tagged objects to a precision of 10 cm at a distance of up to 300 m in Line-of-Sight mode and 40 m in Non-Line-of-Sight mode. DecaWave technology allows both accurate measurement of time and data communications to occur simultaneously, enabling applications across a wide range of vertical markets.
DecaWave’s first chip, DW1000, conforms to the IEEE802.15.4-2011 standard. Many features of DecaWave’s patented technology are attributable to that standard, including unmatched indoor precision, range (both line of sight and through obstacles), multipath immunity, and immunity from interference. In addition to unmatched precision performance, DecaWave DW1000 also offers low power consumption in both receive and transmit modes.
