Plymouth, MN, May 16, 2018 – NimbeLink, the world’s leading provider of cellular IoT technology, solutions and services, today announced the availability of three new Skywire embedded modems, including the NL-SW-LTE-S7618RD – Verizon LTE CAT 1, the NL-SW-LTE-S7648 – North America (AT&T, T-Mobile, Canada) LTE CAT 1, and the NL-SW-LTE-QBG96 – Global LTE-M, NB-IoT, with 2G fallback and GNSS.

The Skywire NL-SW-LTE-S7618RD and the NL-SW-LTE-S7648 LTE CAT 1 are available for order now and the NL-SW-LTE-QBG96 will be available this summer.

“We are very excited to add these new products to the Skywire family and look forward to extending the benefits these solutions will provide to our customers,” said Kurt Larson, Co-Founder and CTO of NimbeLink. “We believe better, more intelligent connections come from faster, simpler processes. In fact, we’ve dedicated the past few years building our business to make it possible and these CAT 1 devices are now available to facilitate just that – a simpler, faster way to connect.”

NimbeLink is committed to leading the technology curve in embedded modems globally. And, as with all of NimbeLink’s Skywire modems, the products are specifically designed for IoT and M2M applications.

The NL-SW-LTE-S7618RD is available with bundled data plans from Verizon, and has the longest network life. The modem is targeted for the North American (United States) region and uses the latest 4G LTE technologies. The NL-SW-LTE-QBG96 will be available with bundled data plans from carriers around the world, including AT&T, Orange, Telstra, Telus, T-Mobile, and Verizon. The modem uses the latest LTE-M/NB- IoT technology, as well as legacy 2G EDGE and GPRS technologies. Another unique and important attribute to note is that all NimbeLink Skywire modems have FCC and carrier certifications right out of the box.

About Skywire Embedded Modems
Like other modems in the NimbeLink’s Skywire family, embedded LTE CAT 1 and newer LTE-M modems are compatible with a variety of NimbeLink development kits, adapters, and microprocessor capes, allowing fast, easy integration into new and existing products.

All embedded Skywire modems share a similar standard interface, allowing easy upgrade to other Skywire modems in the future. This lets developers take products to market now and easily reengineer those products when new modem standards emerge. Skywire modems U.FL port provides antenna flexibility, and the modem simply requires voltage and a UART or USB connection, and Skywire modems support a wide range of voltages for design flexibility.
