DSP Group released their new HDClear 3-Mic Development Kit for Amazon AVS, enabling manufacturers to integrate Amazon Alexa into a number of IoT products, including smart speakers, smart home devices, wearable devices, and remote sensors.
Alexa is Amazon’s cloud-based voice service available on tens of millions of devices from Amazon and third-party device manufacturers. With Alexa, you can build natural voice experiences that offer customers a more intuitive way to interact with the technology they use every day. Our collection of tools, APIs, reference solutions, and documentation make it easy for anyone to build with Alexa.
You can purchase the HDClear 3-Mic Development Kit for Amazon AVS on Symmetry’s website. Symmetry is an authorized DSP Group distributor.
Why Add Voice Service Functionality?
To build a product that stands out, it’s just as important that the product provides a memorable experience for the customer. By adding capable voice service to a design, the manufacturer creates a more engaging product and improves product accessibility. Voice service is a technology that will be heavily integrated into the future workplace and the future home. Voice functionality improves a customer’s ability to interact with the product in ways that’s could be unexpected even for the engineer. Explore the future of voice in IoT with DSP Group’s new development kit.
Using AVS from Amazon, you can talk to the device with the wake word “Alexa,” and receive voice responses and content instantly. Alexa-enabled products work with Alexa skills and Alexa compatible smart home devices and gadgets, bringing familiar capabilities from the Amazon Echo family of devices to a range of new form factors and use cases developed by leading brands.
AVS Simplifies Design and Reduces Development Costs
The Alexa Voice Service (AVS) enables you to access cloud-based Alexa capabilities with the support of AVS APIs, hardware kits, software tools, and documentation. AVS simplifies building voice-forward products by handling complex speech recognition and natural language understanding in the cloud, reducing your development costs and accelerating your time to market. Regular Alexa updates bring new features to your product and add support for a growing assortment of compatible smart home devices. Build with AVS, and become part of the Alexa family.
