Redpine was founded in 2001 and was the first in the industry to launch an ultra-low power single-stream 802.11n chipset in late 2007. Again, in 2009 Redpine pioneered the adoption of self-contained 802.11abgn modules into the then emerging M2M market. In 2013, Redpine introduced the world's first multiprotocol wireless chipset for the Internet of Things (IoT) market - featuring dual-band Wi-Fi, dual-mode BT 4.1, 802.11p, and 802.15.4/ZigBee. Redpine has created multiple products based on this chipset including n-Link (hosted), Connect-io-n (embedded), WiSeConnect (advanced embedded), WiSeMCU (embedded module with integrated MCU) and WaveCombo (V2X connectivity) modules. Redpine Signals has a comprehensive range of low-power, high-performance and high-security wireless SoCs and modules designed to cater to present day smart IoT devices. These products include 802.11abgn Wi-Fi® (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth® 5, 802.15.4/ZigBee®/Thread, 802.11p and ARM® Cortex®-M4F. The products are available in hosted architecture (stacks and profiles on the host) and embedded architecture (stacks and profiles inside the module). Redpine's latest product families include RS13100 launched in 2018, along with RS14100 (Wireless Secure MCU) and RS9116 (Wireless Connectivity) which were launched in 2017. Prior to these, Redpine had launched RS9113 and RS9110 wireless chipset and modules in 2013 and 2007 respectively.
