Amptek is proud to announce our latest embedded system designed with Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) application in mind.

Introducing iCon - an ARM Cortex-M3/M4 system with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 all on one single board.

The Amptek iCon M4 is powered by an ARM Cortex-M4 which supports single-cycle digital signal processing and SIMD (Single Instruction, Multiple Data) instructions.  A hardware floating-point processor is integrated in the core to provide significant improvement in numerical computations.

iCon has the right balance between processing power and standard features.  It performs well as a low power embedded system by itself.  It can also be paired with a customized baseboard to form a more complex system.

Never settle with boards that require wireless dongles or shields.

iCon stands for Internet Connectivity. It is a series of credit-card-sized low power embedded systems specifically designed for the Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) application. It brings the two most common and cost-effective wireless technologies onto one single board design.  With various combinations of I/O's available for expansion, the iCon can easily be transformed into a full-scaled embedded system with a custom baseboard.

iCon runs on the open source uClinux operating system.  It is ideal for applications involving LCD, various I/O interfaces and networking protocols.
