D-Sub Connectors
D-Sub connectors are small connectors with a D-shaped metal shield that provide mechanical support, ensure the correct orientation, and potentially protect against electromagnetic interference. Although these connectors have many uses, they are most widely known for RS-232 serial links. The most common configurations are A=15-pin, B=25-pin, C=37 pin, D=50 pin, E=9 pin. Major application areas include:
- Networking
- Industrial
- Aerospace
- Military: combat aircraft
