Inductors, Chokes & Coils
An inductor, also known as a choke because it blocks high frequencies while passing low frequencies, usually consists of an insulated wire wound into a coil. Used with capacitors and resistors as a filter for analog circuits in signal processing, chokes detect the amount of current flowing through and impede changes by adjusting the signal accordingly. Chokes are frequently employed in industrial, telecommunications, and electrical applications.
