Biometric Sensors
Biometrics uses automated methods to verify or recognize a person’s identity based on a physical attribute. Transducers that transform the input into electrical signals are called biometric sensors. Using an input such as fingerprints, face, voice, or eyes, biometric sensors collect measurable biological characteristics for use in technologies that require identification/verification. Common applications include, medical devices, financial systems, security, commerce, and consumer technology.
